Empire Dermatology is growing, and we’re excited to be expanding into the Rochester area with our new Pittsford office opening in August 2026!
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our team as our Site Lead Nurse.
This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who enjoys balancing hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities. As the Site Lead Nurse, you'll provide direct patient care while helping establish and support our newest office, serving as the clinical leader for the Pittsford location. You'll partner closely with providers and leadership to guide daily operations, mentor staff, and help create an exceptional experience for both patients and employees.
You'll be joining a collaborative team that values professionalism, communication, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Starting pay is $33/hour, but compensation is competitive and based on experience.
We value work-life balance. This full-time position is expected to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with no nights or weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care while assisting providers during patient examinations, procedures, surgeries, and treatments.
- Serve as the clinical leader and primary resource for providers and staff during daily operations.
- Support daily workflow and assist with staffing coordination when needed.
- Mentor, coach, and assist with onboarding and training new clinical team members.
- Reinforce clinical workflows, policies, and best practices.
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as ordered.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, medications, and post-visit care.
- Answer patient questions and provide clinical triage as appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA, infection control standards, and organizational policies.
- Support front office operations during staffing shortages when clinical staffing levels permit.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support practice operations.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in an outpatient, ambulatory, surgical, or specialty practice.
- Minimum of one (1) year of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead with professionalism, accountability, and compassion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Dermatology experience.
- Experience mentoring or training staff.
- Experience in a multi-provider outpatient practice.
