Research Analyst

Forge is looking for a detail-oriented Research Analyst to help turn our search work into actionable insights for business development, recruiting, and client strategy.

In this role, you’ll organize and analyze client and candidate data, identify patterns across industries and functions, build market maps, and help create clear, compelling summaries that support outreach, presentations, and firm storytelling. At Forge, you’ll get a front-row seat to how world-class leadership teams are built, learning the executive recruiting search cycle while working with some of the most exciting AI and technology companies in the market.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of experience, or a standout recent graduate who is highly organized, analytical, and eager to learn.

Location: New York City, 4 days per week in person

What you’ll do:

  • Support market research and analysis across sectors, functions, clients, and candidates
  • Learn how executive recruiting works and gain exposure to the full search process
  • Build heat maps, target company lists, candidate market maps, and competitive landscape overviews
  • Maintain databases and spreadsheets tracking clients, industries, placements, and candidate networks
  • Assist with client materials, including agendas, candidate summaries, progress updates, and presentation support
  • Create simple written and visual summaries of market insights for internal and client-facing use
  • Help update firm collateral, case studies, capability decks, and recent search lists

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized, curious, collaborative, and eager to learn
  • Comfort working in spreadsheets and organizing large amounts of information
  • Experience with ATS or CRM systems is helpful, but not required
