Business, Entrepreneurship, and Culinary Management Full-time Tenure Track Faculty
Job Description
The Department of Business & Entrepreneurship requires a full-time professor able to teach management, operations, entrepreneurship, leadership, culinary principles, bakery principles, and human resources. The position has the essential job functions required of all full-time faculty: teaching, student advising & mentoring, and service. The successful candidate will possess strong management and team building expertise, enhance the department's diversity, and be able to relate to our diverse student population.
The successful candidate will be qualified to teach several of the following classes. Programs: Business Administration (A.S.) - SUNY Onondaga Community College; Business Entrepreneurship (A.A.S). -SUNY Onondaga Community College; Culinary Management (A.A.S.).
- BUS-101 Introduction to Business
- BUS-230 Principles of Management
- BUS-231 Human Resource Management
- ENT-101 Entrepreneurial Studies I
- ENT-201 Entrepreneurial Studies II
- FSA-103C Culinary Principles with lab
- FSA-103B Bakery Principles with lab
- FSA-230 Entrepreneurship in Hospitality with lab
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be responsive to student questions and available for student support
- Use appropriate technology to enhance learning
- Assess learning outcomes and adapt curriculum to meet learning objectives
- Demonstrate insight and encouragement in working with diverse student populations, especially students traditionally underrepresented in higher education
- Provide appropriate academic advising to students to support timely degree completion
- Be innovative in the presentation of lectures and hands-on learning activities that achieve learning outcomes
- Provide timely feedback on students' assignments and exams throughout each semester
- Be accountable to meet the needs of the Department and the College, including timely submission of grades and other required materials.
