Generative AI Video Creator
Job Description
Doing Things Generative AI Video Creator
Level: Junior / Coordinator | Employment Type: Contractor
Apply via email: gabrielle@doingthingsmedia.com & dan.t@doingthings.com
About the Role:
We're looking for a curious, tech-forward AI Video & Automation Coordinator to join our content team. In this role, you'll sit at the intersection of generative AI, content production, and workflow automation — turning simple prompts into polished video content and shipping it across multiple social platforms with minimal manual effort.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build and scale systems that define how our team creates and distributes content in the AI era. You'll work across both short-form and long-form formats, using AI generation tools alongside light hands-on editing in Premiere Pro and After Effects to produce cohesive, on-brand videos. If you're energized by experimenting with new tools, designing repeatable processes, and watching your work reach audiences at scale, this
role is for you.
What You'll Do:
AI-Powered Generative Video Production
● Use generative AI tools (e.g., Sora, Runway, Kling, Pika) to produce both short-form and long-form video content from written briefs and creative prompts
● Develop and execute long-form AI video narratives — multi-scene, story-driven content that requires thoughtful prompt sequencing, visual consistency across shots, and creative direction from concept through delivery
● String together AI-generated scenes using light editing in Premiere Pro and After Effects — trimming, pacing, adding transitions, motion graphics, and brand overlays to create cohesive finished pieces
● Craft and iterate on prompts to consistently produce on-brand, high-quality video outputs across formats and durations
● Maintain a prompt library and document what works — building institutional knowledge around AI content generation for both short- and long-form use cases
● QA AI-generated video before publishing, including captions, pacing, color consistency across scenes, and brand overlays Workflow Automation
● Build and maintain automated workflows using tools like Make (Integromat), Zapier, or n8n to post content across platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, etc.)
● Trigger, schedule, and monitor content pipelines with minimal manual intervention
● Troubleshoot broken automations and keep systems running reliably
● Work with APIs and webhooks to connect AI tools, storage systems, and social platforms Scalability & Systems Thinking
● Design workflows that can be templated and replicated across multiple content channels or client verticals
● Document every system you build — SOPs, workflow maps, naming conventions — so the team can operate and expand them independently
● Identify bottlenecks in the content-to-publish pipeline and propose solutions
● Support the buildout of a multi-channel content operation that scales without proportional headcount growth
What We're Looking For:
Required
● 1–2 years of experience in a content, media, marketing, or production coordinator role
● Hands-on experience with at least one generative AI video tool (Runway, Pika, Sora, Kling, HeyGen, or similar)
● Demonstrated ability to produce long-form AI video content — multi-scene, story-driven work that requires visual continuity and creative judgment across a full piece
● Working knowledge of Premiere Pro and/or After Effects for light assembly editing: cutting scenes together, adding transitions and motion graphics, adjusting pacing, and integrating brand elements
● Familiarity with automation platforms such as Make, Zapier, or n8n
● Comfortable working with social media APIs or scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Later, Publer)
● Strong attention to detail and an instinct for what makes content feel native to each platform
● Ability to write clear, structured prompts and iterate based on output quality
Nice to Have
● Experience maintaining visual and stylistic consistency across AI-generated scenes in a longer narrative format
● Comfort with After Effects for basic motion graphics, title cards, or compositing elements into AI footage
● Experience with no-code/low-code tools or basic scripting (Python, JavaScript)
● Familiarity with cloud storage systems (Google Drive, Airtable, Notion) as part of a content pipeline
● Understanding of platform-specific content specs (aspect ratios, duration limits, caption formats)
● Prior experience building or managing a multi-channel social media operation
