Job Summary:
The Biomedical Technician I will perform duties pertaining to evaluating medical equipment and supporting repairs and preventive maintenance inspections. The technician also performs initial inspections and completes the necessary paperwork enabling electronic documentation and reporting in computerized equipment information management system.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Participating in project meetings and preparing documentation
- Coordinating vendor appointments and supporting HTM operations
- Acting as a liaison between clinical staff, contractors, and teams such as IMT, HIS, and Materials Management
- Supporting clinical areas to ensure equipment meets established performance and safety standards
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering or another engineering discipline such as mechanical, electronics or computer technology, Military experience/training
- Applicants graduating in Spring of 2026, HR must be able to verify degree by start date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an internship or other technical/hospital experience preferred. Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology preferred.
